RONNIE JOHNSON CLAIMS CARL BLACK TOP TRACKS
WIN AT NORTH GEORGIA SPEEDWAY
CHATSWORTH, Ga. (Aug.
17) Ronnie Johnson was in a class of his own as the wily veteran toured North
Georgia Speedway's clay banks with relative ease to win the Top Tracks Challenge
Series Friday night.
Johnson, who took the lead on the first lap and was never headed in the 30-lap
feature event, picked up $1,500 for his winning run. Chip Brindle, Rick Hixson,
Jeff Smith and Jake Knowles would follow the leader for the entire race and
cross the line as they started.
Rounding out the top 10 were Jerry Fowler, William Thomas, Mike Head, Chuck
Padgett and Todd Murphy.
Forty entrants were on hand for the seventh race of the 2007 campaign for the TTCS with Daryl Owenby setting fast time.
Heat race wins went to Lamar Scoggins, Mike Head and Alan Green.
